Misr University For Sciences And Technology held an important conference. The main topic at this conference was "web-based media".
The main speaker at this conference was Professor Micheal Foley from DIT university based at Dublin , Ireland . Dr. Mohamed Rashad and Dr. Amany Omar-professors at Must- also gave speeches and were on the main panel.
Micheal talked about the new media and its effect on us , then he confirmed the importance of online media, newspapers, and journalism. He told us that online media are cheap platforms than newspapers.
He considered that social media especially Facebook is not media it's just a platform because anyone can publish anything he wants without verifying from it. And he advised us to read newspapers because the fb and other social media have fake news.
