What does it look like from the other side of the world ?

 Doctor Michael helds a "Web-Based Media " conference 

After a corporation for two years ! Doctor Michael Fully coming from  DIT University in Dublin ,Ireland finally visits Misr University for Science and 

Technology .

Under the name of " web-based Media " Dr. Michael helds the conference 

Hosted by Doctor Mohamed Rashad and Doctor Amani Omar.

He started by saying that we should not call it new media , because it's not 

new anymore!

Then he talked about one of the effects of the social media which are the revolutions that happened mainly in the middle east , but specially in Egypt ! This revolution was driven by the social media , but it also was considered as one of the failure reasons, because there were no leaders .. Everybody was the same!

He also pointed to the criteria of having your own blog. You should be honest , objective and work according to the media ethics.

Dr. Michael was worried about the traditional media such as newspapers , he talked about the problems they were facing including the aggressive competition with the new media.

But he was optimistic that the newspapers will eventually find their ways to survive because people now need them more than ever. They need them to

make good decisions in their lives.

 Doctor Amani also said that we should highlight the differences  between 

the forum of discussion such as Twitter and the real Media .

At the end of the conference Dr Folly gave some advices to the students and answered all their questions regarding different issues.
