Will the Internet replace our traditional media?

Misr University for science and technology (MUST) had made a conference in the cooperation with Prof. Michael Foley (from DIT University, Ireland) about the Web based Media.
Prof.Foley talked to the audience with Prof.Amani Omar
and Prof.Mohamed Rashad about the future of Media and how this will impact the media communicators.
Prof.Foley stareted by talking about journalism and it
effectiveness on people saying that anyone can start and be a journalist by making a Blog or a Facebook Page but he also added that every journalist must have some criteria which it includes objectivity, honesty, etc.
He also said that the internet now makes people more freely to speak but we can't believe all what we read on social media because it might be wrong as some traditional media tries to get more sponsors so it publish false news.
Prof.Foley also added that he is optimistic about Egypt saying that it could lead the Middle East because it's an important country there.
He was also happy because there was many important questions and he answered them all. 
At the end of the conference Prof.Amani Omar added that we have to know the difference between the social media and the real media as a profession.
