Terror Attack In London



On wednesday afternoon this week London was hit by a terror attack of a man who drove in on
pedestrians on Westminster bridge , outside the Houses of Parliament. Four people were dead including a police officer and the attacker, and about forty people were injured.
The attacker was shot by armed police after he had stabbed a police officer who later died from the injuries. Another victim was a woman from Spain who worked as a teacher in London and who was mother of two children. The third victim was a tourist from Uta in the US. His wife remains in the hospital with serious injuries.

Islamic State has reported to be held for this attack of their so called "soldier of Islamic State".
The day of the attack will be noted as a dark day in Britains history. The attacker is the fifty-two old Khalid Mas ood born in Britain and living in Birmingham. In the past this man was already known with the police for several convictions for assaults and possession of weapons. The attacker is to believed to have acted alone but police is still investigating this matter.

Under the injured people are three police officers, two of them seriously injured. Furthermore there were people from other European countries injured, and from China and Korea.

World leaders all over the world condemned the attack and offered condolences.

A service took place in front of Scotland Yard on thursday morning, in front of the flame that burns as a tribute to all dead  police officers.Many important persons from Britain came with statements that Londoners will never be cowed by terrorism.

Tonight on thursday evening thousands of people have gathered to remember the victims of the attack. Candles are lit and minute silence to pay respect to those killed. Messages of condolence are written on the floor. All religions come together and feel like one. One banner says "Love for all hatred for none".
