Massive Fire Erupts At El-Ataba
On Sunday 8th
of May at night till Monday morning a fire
broke out at a six storey hotel at Al-Roweay . The fire started at the bottom
of the hotel that led to the rapid spread of fire to the neighboring houses and
stores.
According to
some eye witnesses that the fire started at the bottom of the hotel , and what
made it spread and last for long due to
the presence of plastic products, clothes and shoes at the neighboring stores.
Also that the hotel didn’t contain safety programs or fire equipment.
It took the
firefighters to put off the fire about 6 hours. Where they used about 15 cars. Also 22 ambulance cars were available
to transport injured people to hospitals.
The ministry
of health announced that the fire caused the death of 3 people and 91 are injured .
It was
estimated that the damage caused by the fire costs about 60 million LE.
According to Cairo deputy governor that the fire is caused by a short circuit at the hotel.
also that the damages at El-Mouski is being repaired .
