El-Ataba huge fire

A huge fire began in El –Ataba at Al-Roiyi district at the night of Sunday 8\5\2016 that lasted more than 10 hours.

The fire began began in one of the hotels located in El-Roweiy area then spread to four adjacent buildings that contain dozens of plastics stores.

Civil protection forces brought the fire under control and the military also sent a numbers of its fire engines to assist with extinguishing the fire.

At least 225 stores have been damaged according to the stores ’owner who estimate their losses at 25 millions pounds.

According to the health ministry no deaths and most of the injured had breathing difficulties.
