The ‘world’s heaviest woman’ is fighting for her life after falling dangerously ill following weight-loss surgery, her family say.
Eman Ahmed, 36, weighed 78 stone when she was flown to an Indian hospital from her home in Egypt.
Last week doctors at the hospital said Eman had lost half her body weight in just two months, following a stringent diet and a Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy .

They said Eman, who had been bedridden for 25 years because of her weight, weighed just 41 stone.
But Shaimaa Selim, Eman’s sister, said these reports were lies and that her sister had not lost the weight and had been ‘destroyed’ by the medical treatment.
