65 Meters, Screening Soon.

The words 65 meters may seem strange to many people, but in fact if you think carefully you'll be able to link these words to information you already know and heard about before.

65 Meters, is a documentary whose idea was brought up and grown by two brothers  Scriptwriter Hany El-Zorkany and Director Tarek El-Zorkany who share passion of documentaries and movies acquired from their late uncles Actor and Scriptwriter Aly El-Zorkany and his brother Director Abdel Reheem El-Zorkany.

The movie talks about the problems Egyptians have had with owning their own lands throughout the years. Egyptians fought for their rights over the years and lost lots of lives in return to protect and own lands. Lots of legal information and documents were used to support the credibility of the movie, finally most of what we have now are either small parts of the land we used to own as a whole or small 65 meter apartments built by the government, overlooking the cemeteries. Instead of thousands of acres. More information and details will be previewed in the movie.

The screening of the movie begins next Saturday April 8th.

As for the family's history their late uncles, had so much love to this particular field of work which made Hany and Tarek want to be like them. From going to locations and theaters to watch them work and seeing them on television, from they were kids, they knew they were destined to continue this career after their deaths, since then they too have decided to continue this job for a living no matter how many challenges have faced them from production, sponsors, and even technical issues.

They were determined to make realistic movies which are targeted to a small amount of people in the community. They were motivated to continue doing what they loved the most.
