Child jockeys compete with robot jockeys in camel races

In Ismailia robot jockeys competed in a camel racing festival on the 20th of March, the robots competed against other children, about 20 robots competed, the robots were equipped with a whipping arm that can be used from far away.
These robots were used because owners were under pressure from the campaigns that promoted young children racing with camels, because the participating children were around the age of 6 to 11, but most of the children defended this tradition by saying that they are better than robots at steering the camels.
Almost 150 camels competed in the race, with more than 1000 spectators.
