Remembering Rim Banna

“Rim Banna” was a Palestinian singer, composer, arranger and activist, who was most known for her modern interpretations of traditional Palestinian songs and poetry. In 2016, she announced that she won’t be able to sing again due to her health condition. Rim passed away last year following a nine-year struggle with breast cancer.

In addition, to remember her legacy, Menna Hussien who was the former vocalist for “2as w laz2” band and also know for famous for her song “Ghajareya” decided to make a concert on the 6^th of April 2019 as a tribute for Rim’s legacy and making us remembering how with all the suffering she went through the strong singer never gave up till her last days she was recording her album.

Moreover, in the middle of the concert Dina El-Wadidi Joined Menna. Dina El-Wadidi is known for her single “Tedwar w terga3” and “el3an hemomak”.

Both of the singers are highly inspired by Rim and they covered one of her albums “The Mirror of My Soul” in the concert. Dina joined Menna only for two songs.
